    Description

Lloyd's of London, the 1936 Henry King England finance banking insurance romantic historical biography (produced by Darryl F. Zanuck; about Jonathan Blake, the man who help found the famous English insurance firm, but the movie takes GREAT liberties with what really occurred, and only has the slightest connection to the real story!) starring Freddie Bartholomew (as the young Jonathan Blake; his role is fairly minor, but he still got top billing, reflective of how big a star he was at this time!), Madeleine Carroll, Guy Standing (billed as "Sir Guy Standing"), Tyrone Power Jr. (as Jonathan Blake; in his first big success, but he is fourth billed), C. Aubrey Smith, Virginia Field, George Sanders (low billed, in his first year of credits roles!), "and a Mammoth Cast".
