Montcalm County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan.
The county seat is Stanton.
The county is named for Louis-Joseph de Montcalm, French
military commander in the French and Indian War.
Because these Census PDF files are extremely large (4 GB total), a DVD (not CD) is required to hold them.
An autoboot menu is included for easy access to the
numerous files.
These are government scanned copies of the original
handwritten census records.
Legibility varies, depending on handwriting of census
taker, quality of ink used, paper damage over the years,
quality of the scanning process.
Different from transcribed census records, these contain
all information collected by the census taker.
These also give a sense of relatives and neighbors living
nearby.
Just insert the CD into your Windows computer and use the menu to open your book(s), and to download the latest version of Adobe Reader.
If your system security prevents the CD from auto loading, just double-left click the Autorun file on the CD.
For MAC
(or Windows) manually open the .PDF file(s) for your book(s) don’t forget to also open the pictures/maps (.jpg) and audio files (.mp3).
