  • Condition: Good vintage condition. This exceedingly rare paper herald has the following issues of note: Horizontal fold line in middle; some minor wrinkles around edges & corners; foxing/browning at lower right and small tear at top. All of which is to be expected for a ‘disposable’ piece of paper that was printed 75 years ago. I debated about having it restored but decided to leave it “as is”. Description

For sale is an original, extremely rare, US printed herald for quite possibly the most famous movie of all time! This herald was produced during the films original 1942 release and features the much sought-after US ‘One Sheet’ poster artwork.
This particular herald, which measures approx. 8.75” x 11.5”, was likely displayed at the Luseland Theatre in Luseland, Saskatchewan (which is printed on the back).
US heralds usually had the same great artwork as the standard ‘One Sheet’ poster (as is the case here) and would be handed out in the lobby, on the street corner, etc. For this reason, they were often discarded and, of course, not all theatres would request them at all - meaning that some titles rarely ever appear on the collector market.
